If you’ve ever felt like your child’s education could be so much more, you’re not alone.
The International Kids’ Council (IKC) is a global community where young people aged 7–17 turn ideas into action. Together, they tackle real-world challenges, access hands-on funding and mentorship, and build the skills and confidence to shape their future.

If you’re fed up with a system that doesn’t stretch your child’s curiosity or creativity
If your child is bright, curious, and ready for more than worksheets and tests
If you’re already homeschooling or exploring alternative ways to learn
If you believe education should prepare children for the world, not just exams
If you want your child to grow confidence, leadership, and problem-solving skills that last a lifetime

We're James and Jess Marsh, co-founders of INTL Edu and parents to our lovely son Leo. We're both credentialed educators (from USA and UK) turned worldschoolers because we realized that the traditional system couldn't keep up with our child's needs.
We didn't want to just "home educate" by replicating the classroom at the kitchen table. We're learning with the world as our classroom (sometimes this means in our own backyard, field trips to local museums, or exploring foreign countries).
Over many years we've worked with children of all ages all around the world. We understand intuitively how the gifted, often twice-exceptional (2E) brains work differently and why we need to offer them something more.
As an ex-school librarian and ex-Googler, Jess has built the Worldschooling Quest community to be the resource we wish we had when we deviated from the norm:

Imagine your child's confidence grow as they lead projects & collaborate with peers across the globe. They'll be joining a global community where their ideas matter, their voice is heard, and their creativity helps shape the future of learning.

A Voice in Intercultural Conversation ➔ A Verified Portfolio 🌍: Members collaborate across time zones to design and improve global learning experiences. Every agreement they enact and project they build is documented in a verified digital portfolio (empowered resumes!).
The Innovation Fund ➔ The Impact Certificate 💡: Members develop financial literacy and strategic problem-solving by voting on how to allocate real community funds. These hours and skills are officially accredited via our NGO-backed Impact Certificate.
Global Collaboration ➔ The Golden Tickets 🎟️: Working with peers worldwide, members learn the powers of empathy and networking. Golden Tickets help build their own community of friends.
STEP 1 - Join and Connect
Members work towards Global Summits where they share ideas, discuss challenges, and advise our adult team on the direction of community design. It’s where confidence begins to grow and collaboration comes to life. Plus, families get live, interactive monthly calls to connect and explore metacognition through gamification.
STEP 2 - Create and Contribute
Kids don't just talk; they act. Together, members find mentors, research causes, form committees, and democratically decide how a portion of our IKC Micro-Fund supports ideas. They learn financial literacy and ethical tech use with real stakes.
STEP 3 - Grow and Shine
Supported by experienced educators, every child contributes to a verified portfolio of impact. We celebrate curiosity and teamwork. Imagine your child finishing each session feeling proud, capable, and inspired to lead, adapt, and create change. They can even invite friends to join with Golden Tickets!

The Council chooses their path and we facilitate the connection to their interests with funds, expert mentors and digital resources so they can dig into what actually matters to them.
In additional to monthly cohort meetings, we host interactive online sessions, featuring escape rooms or other gamified strategies; kids and their families are welcome to join each month.
The members will acquire essential skills through hands-on, real-world application in both online and offline challenges. They earn digital certificates and build an impact-based portfolio that bolsters future resumes.
We apply principles of gifted education, including Depth and Complexity icons, to extend and stretch thinking.

I feel like most young people's voices aren't heard enough, so a club for security in our future and current lives is great.
Change your life, change the world.
Thank you for the ability to help out not only where I live but also international people. Together we are making the world a better place.

Give your child the tools and the team to prove that they can do anything, from anywhere.
Please check out the FAQs below; there's a ton of helpful info waiting for you. You can email us at [email protected] if you have more questions — we're happy to help! If you'd like to receive updates about future cohorts & try a free learning style quiz, check out this link.
In addition to the live monthly calls and asynchronous tasks that can fit with your schedule, the membership includes an account with access to cutting-edge tools like Canva Pro and Google's Gemini, along with options for individualized resources through Renzulli Learning, Minecraft Education and more. We also often have special promotions from partner organizations too.
In addition to the live monthly calls (Cohort 1 = Saturdays) and monthly social fun (optional) sessions, there will be offline tasks that the young people choose to take on - only what they can handle - since time management and prioritization are all part of the inclusive skills!
We have members all around the globe so we have multiple offerings across several times zones. So far Saturdays seem to work best for all. We strive to be inclusive of all members as possible. We will use Google Meet and other online tools to sync.
We can accommodate this preference in many aspects but this might limit the member from accessing certain resources, files and tools (which will only be available on our protected 'intranet').
Equity and access is of the utmost importance to us; we truly want to make this an inclusive and representative community. Thanks to company sponsors and partnerships, we have a few scholarship bursaries - please contact for more information: [email protected]
We can generate an invoice and process other documents as needed to ease the payment process.
Each member will receive a Golden Ticket invitation to give to others that they feel would be a great Council member. This gives the member a Leadership power-up. Each ticket is a 20% off voucher for initial membership costs. Our aim is to make membership accessible for all socioeconomic backgrounds.
While we focus on the high-need curiosity of gifted and talented / high potential learners, these tools work for any child who is bored by rote memorization and thrives on autonomy. It is especially powerful for neurodivergent learners (ADHD/Autism) who need context to learn. Dr. Sandra Kaplan's Depth and Complexity icons will be a central feature of the quests, which were designed for California's gifted education program.
Technical expertise is absolutely not required. We provide tutorials, prompts and plenty of support.
Our content is designed to be globally relevant and "content agnostic". We are focused on skill development, not specific topics or learning of facts.
We welcome connections and genuine interest in helping young people fulfill their goals. Please email us at [email protected] with your ideas.
If you have a high-quality tool, app, or service that genuinely helps families on their diverse educational paths, we would love to check it out and we welcome sponsorship too. Please email us at [email protected] with all the details.
Of course we'd appreciate hearing how we can better support you before you go, but you are welcome to cancel your annual plan at any time; however, no refunds will be issued, so please note that your subscription will be active until the end of your 365-day period.
